Rose vs. Brilliant Cut Stones: What's the Difference?

When a stone is brilliant cut, it resembles a traditional "diamond shape". The bottom of the stone comes to a point while the stop of the stone is flat and faceted. This cut does not have as many facets on the top as a rose cut stone but it is still just as shimmery and eye-catching. Traditionally, you will see brilliant cut gems for engagement rings, but we think both cuts are equally beautiful! When a stone is rose cut, it means the bottom of the stone is flat while the top of it is faceted and domed. Typically when a stone is rose cut, there are lots of different facets on the top which create a stunning and reflective sparkle.
